LHH Recruitment in partnership with a firm in Norfolk is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, using e-discovery tools, doing data entry, scheduling, drafting legal documents, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. Responsibilities
- Legal fact and basic legal research
- Assist with case management
- Organize and electronically file pleadings
- Coordinate and schedule calendars
- Communicate with clients, attorneys and staff through various communication channels
- Utilize e-discovery tools for review of discovery
- Assist with trial preparation
- Drafting motions, pleadings and other relevant legal documents
- Any other duties required of the role
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years' as Litigation Paralegal in an area of complex litigation, preference for construction litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
